Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone is an Indian actor, who works mainly in Hindi films. Padukone is among the actresses with the highest salaries in India, and her accolades include three Filmfare Awards. Time magazine also named her one of the top 100 individuals throughout the world in 2018. She was also awarded an award called the TIME100 Impact Award for 2022. Padukone had the honor of being the youngest daughter to badminton champion Prakash Padukone. Padukone was born in and grew up in Bangalore. She was a badminton player at national championships when she was a teenager, but gave up the sport in order to be a model. In the next few years, she started getting offers to appear in films. Her first acting role was as Aishwarya, the Kannada main character. Padukone then played a dual character alongside Shah Rukh Khan in her debut Bollywood release, the romance Om Shanti Om (2007) that won her the Filmfare Award for Best Female debut. Padukone got praise for her starring role in the romance Love Aaj Kal (2009), but this was shortly followed by a minor disappointment.
